It is important to go to a reliable source for more information on treatments for snoring.

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has produced healthcare guidelines on the treatment of snoring with soft-palate implants and with a procedure called radiofrequency ablation.

NICE concludes that soft-palate implants for snoring raise no major safety concerns. However, the evidence for this is based on small studies, and there is a need for better quality evidence. Therefore, the procedure should only be used in research.

NICE has also decided that there are uncertainties about the long-term benefits of radiofrequency ablation of the soft palate for snoring. You need to understand these uncertainties before you agree to the procedure.Your doctor should discuss these with you.
